I am known in the Society for Creative Anachronism as Hrothgar Monomakh, and this site is devoted to sharing my interests in historical reenactment and recreation. I’ve been involved in the SCA since 1985 (and actually a bit before that in 1981), residing in the Kingdom of the Outlands and the Barony of al-Barran. My specific historical interests are focused on and around 10-12th century Kyivan Rus culture as well as broader Norse culture and other physically and temporally nearby cultures. Although I consciously have stayed off of other social media I have recently been inspired to put this site together to share some recent projects with others who might share an interest. In the future I may add other content as well.
